Animal Lovers, Friends, Parents, and Faculty,
Pals for Paws, a registered (501c3) not for profit organization, is a
volunteer group of caring, concerned individuals who volunteer their
time to help many of Howard County’s lost, abandoned and abused animals.
We are all volunteers so all contributions, that’s correct, 100% of all
contributions go to helping the animals.
We
need your support; But we are not asking for $20 bills, your $10 bills,
your $5 bills, or even your $1 bills but we'll take them if you'd like
to give that amount of money to us. What we'd appreciate is the
opportunity to come into your child’s classroom with some of our
adorable pets & put on a “Show and Tell” presentation about the
homeless, abandoned, needy animals in Howard County. We'd like to leave
a colorful flyer with valuable information on pet care, along with a
penny donation jar and start a new fundraiser called “PENNIES FOR PETS.”
What we are asking for is your extra PENNIES and an opportunity to
educate your children about proper pet care.
The classroom that collects the most pennies for Pals for Paws wins a
special prize!! The school raising the most money will receive honorable
mention for their concern and love for needy animals on our website
www.palsforpawsinc.com for a
year.
Regardless of where you may go in our community you’ll definitely find
hungry, abandoned animals craving food, attention, and some love from
you. As an owner you can show your pet love daily by caring for them
properly and as an animal lover you can show your love by donating
pennies generously to Pals for Paws by dropping them into the containers
provided. Pals for Paws in 2006 through numerous loving, caring,
generous people hae helped to save the lives of more than 500 pets.
Pals for Paws ultimate goal is to rid our community of animal suffering,
euthanization, un-wanted pups or kittens, while ultimately offering
spay/neuter clinics for these animals, by offering pet rescue, and
ultimately educating the general public about proper animal care and
disease prevention. Unlike the Humane Society, we take these unfortunate
animals into our homes (act as foster parents) where we give them love,
training, medication when needed, and attempt to make them successful
members in a family of animal lovers.
This “PENNIES FOR PETS” campaign will further our mission of helping
homeless pets:
- Provide food, shelter and medical attention for the animals in
our care
- Establish /and /or support a spay / neuter program
- Build / rent a facility to house the animals until “permanent
homes” can be found for them
- Educate the general public about responsible pet care,
especially the youth groups
Thank you for your consideration & assistance. We believe that by
working together we can change the lives of many of Howard County’s
homeless pets.
