The Kokomo Perspective 209 North Main Kokomo, I N 46902 May 26, 2005 The volunteers of Pals for Paws would like to publicly thank everyone who came out to the “Paws in the Park” Dog Walk last Saturday. We had a wonderful day and a terrific turnout! It was warm and sunny, and we were very pleased with the number of people and dogs who participated in our walk and supported our cause. We would also like to thank the Edelheim Police K-9 Academy, the American Red Cross, the Girls Scouts from Western Intermediate School, and the students of Kokomo Academy. Without your help and participation, our event could not have been so successful! The money raised during the Dog Walk will enable Pals for Paws to continue providing food, shelter, and medical care for abandoned and abused animals. It will also help us to further our mission in the community. Our objectives are to support a spay and neuter program, educate the public about responsible pet care, and obtain a facility to house rescued pets who are awaiting “forever” homes. We are also working with the Kokomo Parks Department to build and fund a Dog Park which will be a safe, fenced-in area where dogs can run, play, and get the exercise they need! Pals for Paws, Inc.
