For immediate release. Please announce the following not-for-profit event:

Each day 70,000 dogs and cats are born.  This is 10 times the amount of human births!  As a result of these astronomical numbers 4-6 million animals are euthanized each year and thousands of pets are left homeless.

Polo Run Apartments, owned by Edward Rose Companies, has begun making strides to prevent this tremendous loss.  Polo Run is one of the few communities in the Greenwood area that allows large breed dogs and has a very limited breed restriction.  On Saturday, July 16^th, from 10am to 1pm Polo Run will be teaming up with some of Indiana’s leading non-profit organizations such as Pals for Paws, Marion County Humane Society, and Johnson County Humane Society for the grand opening of their new “Bark Park”.  The “Bark Park is a brand new fenced in area within the community providing plenty of room for current pet owners to exercise their dogs.  The park has also been equipped with an obstacle course for pets and their owners to enjoy.

During the grand opening, Pals for Paws and the Humane Societies will be bringing along some furry friends that are ready to be placed into new homes.  Other local businesses such as Pet Smart, Uncle Bills and Petco will also be attending with great door prize donations for the event.  Refreshments will be donated by GFS and will be available while supplies last.  All donations received will be allocated between the aforementioned non-profit organizations.  For more information, please contact Polo Run Apartments located just off of Fry Road and US 31 at 800 Kings Mill Road in Greenwood.  (317) 888-8800
